Why Choose Malta Citizenship by Investment?

Malta is a small yet formidable country filled with welcoming people who will make you feel immediately at home. Located in the Mediterranean Sea, its views are breathtaking, and residents enjoy up to 300 days of sunshine a year.

The process of obtaining Malta Citizenship by Investment may initially appear lengthy and complex. Nevertheless, our client advisors are here to simplify it for you by breaking it down into manageable steps.

Applicants for the Maltese Citizenship by Naturalisation for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment (NESDI) undergo rigorous due diligence and vetting processes. The Government of Malta meticulously ensures that only individuals of impeccable standing and repute are granted citizenship.

Malta Citizenship by Investment: New Program Overview

The Malta Citizenship by Investment program was introduced in November 2020, replacing its predecessor, the “Malta Individual Investor Programme (MIIP).” This updated program is specifically designed for affluent individuals who possess impeccable standing and reputation. It allows them to be naturalised and obtain Maltese citizenship through a combination of direct investment in the Maltese economy, a donation to charity, and the maintenance of the residential property in Malta.

Investment Options & Other Fees*

Prior to applying for Malta citizenship, an investor needs to hold a Malta residence permit for 1-3 years, depending on the size of the intended investment. You can apply after 3 years with an investment of at least €600,000 or after only 1 year with at least €750,000. In order to qualify for a citizenship, investors need to fulfill three contributions: 1) Purchase or Rent Residential Real Estate; 2) Fulfill Exceptional Direct Investment requirements; 3) a charitable donation to a non-government organization.

Option 1

Renting a Property
€750,000+

To receive a resident permit first, you will need to rent a property in Malta, unless you already have a residential address in Malta. No minimum rental amount is applicable during the first year.

Once you are ready to apply for citizenship based on your intended investment you will have to make a new rental agreement at a minimum of €16,000/year – our quotations offer €9,600 per first 3 years. The property must be rented for at least 5 years and cannot be sublet during that time. Additional contribution fees are outlined below. Citizenship can be obtained within 12 or 36 months.
